He’s tall, drives a German beast, speaks Queen’s English that could end civil wars. Six-pack? Check. Smells like crisp hundred-dollar bills. But… he’s single. And not by choice.

Now switch scenes: a sales rep with the best product. The pitch? Perfect. The price? Fair. Even throws in a “buy one, get bones” discount like a ghetto butcher.

Still… no sales.

What’s going on?

The “Everything Is On Point” Trap

Both Mr. Smooth and our salesperson suffer from the same delusion: “Because I’m awesome, people will automatically want me.”

Wrong.

In sales (and relationships), people don’t care about your titles, your certificates, or the six pages of your company profile. They care about themselves. Their pain. Their problems. Their peace of mind.

Stop Talking. Start Listening.

Salespeople love to list credentials:

  • “We’ve been in business since 1980…”

  • “We’ve served over 1,000 clients…”

  • “We are ISO certified with advanced blockchain integration…”

Zzzzz.

The client’s reality? They’ve got payroll stress, system failures, and a manager who thinks Excel is artificial intelligence.

What they want to hear is:

  • “We’ll reduce your stress.”

  • “We’ll save you money.”

  • “We’ll give you your time back.”

Speak their language. Not yours.

Don’t Sell. Serve.

No one wants to buy from a desperate vendor sweating commission. Be the calm, insightful assistant who helps. Not hypes.

Say: “I noticed your team struggles with reporting. Here’s how we helped a similar company cut time by 50%.”

That’s how you become a solution not another salesperson.

Sales Is Dating. Don’t Propose at the First Coffee.

Build rapport. Say hi. Ask how their child is doing. Send a useful article. Connect beyond the invoice.

People don’t buy from brochures. They buy from people they like.

Maybe the Problem Isn’t the Product. It’s You.

You don’t need a prophet. You need a better pitch. Even Jesus knocked before entering.

So before you rush to Prophet WhatsApp to “unlock your market,” try this first:

Close your mouth. Open your ears. And remember: Connection beats perfection. Every time.
