(A Grant Cardone Lesson That Changed My Life)
During Covid-19, while most people were busy baking banana bread, I was busy reading Grant Cardone like he was a diagnostic tool for African entrepreneurs.
I read: *If You’re Not First, You’re Last
- *Sell or Be Sold
- …and I nearly fell off my chair when he said:
“The reason you are not getting what you want is because you are OBSCURE.” “You are not omnipresent enough.”
That hit me so hard I almost developed six-pack motivation immediately.
He was basically saying: If people don’t see you, they don’t know you. If they don’t know you, they can’t buy from you.
So I said, “Let me try this omnipresence thing.”
HOW I BECAME OMNIPRESENT (AND WHY MY FACE IS NOW EVERYWHERE)
I didn’t just read the book I implemented.
-
I opened a website
-
Created social media pages
-
Started writing books
-
Posted consistently
-
Posted even when only my wife liked my content
-
Posted when the only comment was “Hi boss ndingawane job?”
-
Posted when haters said “He talks too much”
I told myself: If Grant Cardone can do it in America, Jerry can do it in Watsomba, Harare, Zimbabwe, Africa, Earth, Universe.
After 4 years of consistency, something crazy happened:
My pages grew to over 300,000 followers I sell books daily to people in countries I have never visited When I walk into a meeting… People say, “Ahh Chartered Vendor!” before I even greet When I don’t open social media for 48 hours… I find hundreds of messages, tags, comments People arguing, discussing, debating, learning, thanking all without me posting
That’s when I realised: Omnipresence is not magic. It is consistency + creativity + courage.
Everyone must notice you. You cannot be shy.
That’s how marketing works.
LESSON: DON’T CHOOSE ONE PLATFORM CONQUER ALL OF THEM
Some people say: “I only post on Facebook.” “I like Instagram vibes.” “I’m a TikTok person.” “I’m shy on LinkedIn.”
My friend, the goal is not to be comfortable the goal is to be omnipresent.

Your brand must be like ZESA load shedding everyone must feel your presence.
STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT ONE LIKE
Let me be honest:
When I started posting, my posts had:
-
1 like (from my cousin who wanted $5 airtime)
-
0 comments
-
3 views (including mine)
But I kept posting. Because success is not measured by likes it’s measured by consistency.
Some of you stop posting after three days because “no one is watching.”
But the truth is: People are watching they just don’t comment. They will message you silently later and say: “I’ve followed you for a while and now I want your services.”
IF THEY DON’T KNOW YOU, THEY CAN’T PAY YOU
Omnipresence is the new currency. Visibility is the new asset. Content is the new marketing.
Your biggest enemy is not competition it is OBSCURITY.
Don’t aim to be liked. Aim to be seen. Aim to be heard. Aim to be everywhere.
Be so loud online that even people who don’t like you… still know your name.
